Ever get tired of just plain greek yogurt all of the time???..... Greek yogurt is amazing in many ways with its many health benefits and plenty of protein but sometimes it can just get old. I have taken the plain old yogurt and turned it into mini desserts for snacking or just an after dinner sweet. So next time you get a sweet tooth and are craving one of these many favorites that are usually sugar and fat laden try it the greek way!
Carrot Cake: 1 scoop vanilla protein powder ,1 carrot grated,1/2c greek yogurt,1 tsp cinnamon,1/2 tsp vanilla extract,1/4tsp ground ginger,1/4tsp nutmeg,7-8 drops liquid stevia.
Key Lime Pie: 1 scoop vanilla whey protein, 1/2c greek yogurt, juice of 1-2 key limes, 7-8 drops liquid stevia, Crust topping: 1-2 tbsp unsweetened shredded coconut, 1-2 tbsp chopped cashews, 1tbsp milled flax seed, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1 tsp coconut oil melted, 3-4 drops liquid stevia. (mix all crust ingredients until all cashew pieces and coconut flakes are covered and then top yogurt)
Strawberry Cheesecake protein Minis: 1 scoop vanilla whey, 1/2c greek yogurt, juice of a lemon, 1/2c chopped strawberries, 7-8 drops liquid stevia. ( use same topping as key lime pie minus the coconut)
Apple Pie A la Mode: 1/2c greek yogurt, 1 scoop whey protein, 1/2c chopped apple, ½ tsp apple pie spice, 1 tsp cinnamon, 7-8 drops liquid stevia. Topping: 1-2 tbsp chopped walnuts, tbsp milled flaxseed, 3-4 drops liquid stevia, 1tsp cinnamon, 1tsp coconut oil melted(mix all together)
Black Forest Cake: 1/2c greek yogurt, 1 scoop chocolate whey protein, 1/2c pitted and chopped black cherries, 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder, 7-8 drops liquid stevia
Blueberry Muffin: 1/2c greek yogurt, 1/2c blueberries, 1 scoop vanilla whey, dash cinnamon, 7-8 drops liquid stevia Topping: Use the same as the one for strawberry cheesecake.)
Banana Bread: 1/2c greek yogurt, 1 scoop vanilla whey, 1/2c chopped banana, 1tsp nutmeg, 1tsp cinnamon, ½ tsp vanilla extract, 7-8 drops liquid stevia.
